If it is not proven to celebrate the birthday of the Companions by holding Milad-e-Sharif gatherings, would it be illegal to do so?
Question: What do the religious scholars and Muftis of Shariah say about the issue that some people say that the birth of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was not celebrated by anyone nor was it celebrated by any of the Rightly Guided Caliphs? That is, every innovation is a misguidance, the end of which is hell. Please give a satisfactory answer?

Answers to the Prophets
Answer: The illegality of a deed does not depend on the fact that it was not done by the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) or the Companions of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). Is it forbidden or not? If it is forbidden then it is unlawful and if it is not forbidden then it is permissible. Because there is also the rule of jurisprudence that “al-asal fi al-ashiya al-abaha”. Translation: The principle in all things is that they are permissible. That is, everything is permissible and lawful. Yes, if the Shari'ah forbids something, it is forbidden. Thus, in the Holy Qur'an, Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): Do not ask such things which are revealed to you, and you will be offended. And if you ask them while the Qur'an is being revealed, they will be revealed to you.
Hazrat Allama Maulana Syed Mohammad Naeem-ud-Din Muradabadi (may Allah have mercy on him) says:
This verse proves that the command which is not prohibited in the Shari'ah is permissible. It is in the hadith of Hazrat Salman (may Allah be pleased with him) that the lawful is that which Allah has made lawful in His Book. He who is silent is forgiven, so do not get into trouble. ”(Khazain-ul-Irfan, p. 224)
It is stated in the hadeeth:
He is the one whom Allah has made lawful in His Book and the unlawful is the one whom Allah has made unlawful in His Book and the one on whom He has kept silent is forgiven. (Tirmidhi, vol. 3, p. 280, Hadith: 1732)
Since the prohibition of celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr by holding religious ceremonies is not mentioned anywhere in the Qur'an and Hadith, the sayings of jurists and the Shari'ah, it is permissible to celebrate the birth and it has been considered permissible and commendable by scholars for centuries.
Sharh Bukhari Imam Qastalani (may Allah have mercy on him) writes: “Since the first of Rabi-ul-Awwal is the month of the blessed birth of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), all Muslims have always been holding gatherings in the joy of Milad. He spends a lot of time in charity and good deeds. Especially in these gatherings, while mentioning your Milad, you get the blessings of Allah Almighty. The blessing of Milad is experienced because of which this year passes peacefully. May Allah Almighty bestow His grace and blessings on the person who made your blessed Milad an Eid and intensified it on a person who has a disease in his heart. ”(Al-Mawahib Al-Ludniya, vol.
Shaykh 'Abd al-Haqq al-Muhaddith al-Dahlawi (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: It is the custom of the Muslims to express the joy of charity in his nights and to mention the events that took place on this occasion, especially on the occasion of the birth of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). ”
Imam Jamal-ud-Din Al-Katani writes: “The day of the birth of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) is very glorious, holy and honorable. The existence of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) is a source of salvation for the pure followers. Whoever expressed happiness at the arrival of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) saved himself from Hell. Therefore, it is very appropriate to express happiness on such an occasion and spend as much as you can afford. ”
And it is not correct to say that "hernia work is misguidance" because there are initially two types of innovation: good innovation and black innovation. Innovation is a new work that is not against any Sunnah, such as Milad ceremonies, processions, annual recitation ceremonies, Khatam Bukhari ceremonies, etc. on the occasion of Mawlid Sharif.
Black innovation is that which is against a Sunnah or destroys the Sunnah, such as the Friday and Eid sermons in non-Arabic.
Shaykh 'Abd al-Haqq al-Muhaddith al-Dahlawi (may Allaah have mercy on him) wrote under this hadeeth: And if the rules are in accordance with the Sunnah and are based on the Qur'an and Sunnah, it is called bid'at hasana, and what is against these rules and regulations is called bid'at misguidance. And the concept of total innovation is special with this second type. ”
On the contrary, the one who invents something new and good in the Holy Hadith has the glad tidings of reward. So the Muslim: "The hearing per-Islam .About hsnة flه أjrهa, Vajra from the precious badه, Mr. their ynqs from أjurهm Object, vomiting listening per-Islam .About syyة ears upon uzrهa, and magic from the precious mind badه, Mr. ْن يَنقُصَ مِنْ أوْزَارِهمْ شَيٌء ترجمہ Translation: Whoever follows a good way in Islam, he will be rewarded for it There will be no reduction in the reward. And whoever practices evil in Islam, he will be guilty of sin.
And after that, the issuer will get the same sin as all the people who will follow it and their sins will not be reduced at all. (Muslim, p. 394, Hadith: 1017)
Celebrating the birth is also a good deed which is not against any Sunnah but according to the rules of the Qur'an and Sunnah. The Holy Qur'an itself has commanded happiness over the blessings of the Almighty.
