It is well known from ancient times that the last Prophet Muhammad Mustafa (peace be upon him) was born on Monday the 8th of Rabi-ul-Awwal. And 2 / Rabi-ul-Awwal are also holidays by the government in the subcontinent; Unfortunately, some people are running a campaign about the date of birth that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was not born on the 1st of Rabi al-Awwal. Rather, it happened on the 8th of January, and some of the authors cite the sayings of the writers as evidence. Is. The sayings of hundreds of scholars are contained in books. Therefore, we consider it necessary to quote the sayings of the scholars of the ummah regarding the correct date of birth.

(3) Allama Qastalani (d. 3 AH) writes:
And the most famous is that he was born on the second day of the second ten (1) city of Rabi-ul-Awwal, that is the saying of Ibn Ishaq, etc.

Translation: The scholars of Sira agree that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was born on the first Monday of the month of Rabi al-Awwal, and the majority of scholars agree that the date was 9 / Rabi al-Awwal.
3) Allama Manawi (d. 5 AH) writes:
It is true that he was born in the twilight after Fajr on Monday, the second tenth of Rabi al-Awwal, the common elephant. (Faiz Al-Qadir 1/2)
Translation: The correct thing is that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was born on the morning of the twelfth of Rabi al-Awwal in the branch of Makkah on Monday, the year of the elephant.
(1) Allama Abu Abdullah Muhammad Zarqani Maliki (d. 5 AH) writes in the commentary of Al-Mawahib Al-Ludni.
Ibn al-Maghazi, the son of Imam al-Maghazi, said, (Sharh Al-Zarqani Ali Al-Mawahib Al-Diniyat Balmanh Al-Muhammadiyah 2/3)
Translation: According to a popular saying, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was born on Monday, the 12th of Rabi al-Awwal. It is said that this is the view of the majority. Allama Ibn Jawzi and Ibn Jazar have quoted the consensus on it.
(2) Hazrat Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanwi (d. 3 AH) writes:
According to the opinion of the people, the date of birth is 12 (2) Rabi-ul-Awal. (Irshad al-Ibad fi Eid al-Milad, p. 5)
(2) Hazrat Maulana Syed Sulaiman Nadvi (d. 3 AH) writes:
According to the opinion of the people, the date of birth is 12 (2) Rabi-ul-Awal. (Irshad al-Ibad fi Eid al-Milad, p. 5)
(2) Hazrat Maulana Syed Sulaiman Nadvi (d. 3 AH) writes:
The birth took place on Monday in the month of Rabi-ul-Awal, five hundred and seventy one (7) years after Jesus (pbuh). All the family members were very happy with the birth of this child. (Rahmat Alam, p. 4)
(2) Hazrat Mufti Muhammad Shafi Deobandi (d. 3 AH) President Mufti of Darul Uloom Deoband and Grand Mufti of Pakistan writes:
Monday, the twelfth day of the month of Rabi-ul-Awwal, the year in which the Companions of the Elephant was attacked The secret of the protection of Noah's ark, the prayer of Abraham (peace be upon him) and the prophecy of Moses (peace be upon him) ie our famous Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) flourish in the world.
(2) Maulana Syed Abu Ali Maududi (d. 3 AH) writes:
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was born on the first of Rabi 'al-Awwal, and the birth took place on Monday. There is disagreement; But Ibn Abi Shaybah has quoted Hazrat Abdullah Ibn Abbas and Hazrat Jabir bin Abdullah as saying that he was born on the 1st of Rabi-ul-Awwal, as narrated by Muhammad bin Ishaq, and (Sirat-e-Sarwar-e-Alam, Vol. II, pp. 4, 5)
(2) Hazrat Mufti Mahmood Hassan Gangohi (President Mufti Darul Uloom Deoband) (d. 3 AH) writes:

(2) Hazrat Maulana Syed Abul Hassan Ali Nadvi (d. 3 AH) writes:
And the son of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, on the second day, the second day, the tenth day, from the city of Rabi-ul-Awwal,
(2) The fatwa of the Legislature is in perpetuity:
The son of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) on the second day of the twentieth day (1).
Translation: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was born on the twelfth night of Rabi al-Awwal in the common elephant (3 AD).
For fear of length, only the sayings of fifteen scholars have been satisfied. ابن Even Ibn al-Jazar has quoted the consensus on it, and it has been adopted in Kamil Ibn Athir, and Mahmoud Pasha'li Misri has adopted the ninth date by calculation, it is an unauthentic statement against the people and a burden on the accounts. Disagreement in the press cannot be trusted to be opposed by the people on this basis. (Footnote:
Mahmud Pasha Sahib has declared 9 / Rabi-ul-Awal, the common elephant as Pirkadan by calculation, it does not seem to be correct. Maulana Maudoodi has written that some scholars have declared it to be in accordance with April 3 (Sira Sarwar Alam, Volume II, Page 2).
Some have written with reference to the beginning and the end of the month of Rabi-ul-Awwal. Perhaps they did not get a chance to read the whole discussion in the beginning. That is why it is well known in the Republic. It clearly states that the word of the Twelfth (2) Rabi-ul-Awwal is the word of the people. Because the author is quoting this narration on the basis of the narration of 1 / Rabi-ul-Awal, quoting the narration of 2 / in the narration of 1 / Rabi-ul-Awal is against the claim of the author, and the author has narrated the same narration in his second book Has been copied with these words. On the authority of Jabir and Ibn 'Abbas, they said: Ushr, and Sawba al-Thani Ushr. Therefore, scholars are requested not to judge by looking at a single book. Do research from other books as well. Nowadays, there is a series of distortions and alterations in the books of Hadith. I was born at that time in Makkah on the date of 9 / Rabi-ul-Awwal, and in other areas there was another date,And in other regions there was another date, because the lunar date varies from country to country. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was born on the 1st of Rabi al-Awwal.
However, it is not correct to say that Rabi-ul-Awwal is the date of death. This is because it is narrated in Sahih Bukhari that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) died on Monday. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) died after eighty-one (8) days of 'Arafah. Therefore, the opinion of Allama Ibn Hajar Asqalani has to be accepted that he passed away on the 2nd of Rabi-ul-Awal on Monday.
Allama Sohaili (d. 4 AH) has written in Roz-ul-Anf, Allama Taqi-ud-Din Ibn Taymiyyah (d. 5 AH) has written in Minhaj-ul-Sunnah, Allama Shibli Nomani has written Ikam / Rabi-ul-Awal in Sira-un-Nabi. And Allama Maghlatai, Allama Ibn Hajar Asqalani in Fateh Al Bari, Shaykh Muhammad Bin Umar Bahraqi Hazrami Shafi'i (d. 5 AH) in Hadaiq Al-Anwar, Mufti Muhammad Shafi Deobandi (Grand Mufti of Pakistan) in Sira Khatam Al-Anbiya, Mian Abid Ahmad in Shaan Muhammad The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
The date of death is well known that it happened on the 1st of Rabi-ul-Awwal and this is what the majority of historians have been writing; but in no way can this date of death be calculated Because it is also agreed and certain that the death took place on Dushanbe and it is also certain that your Hajj does not fall on Dhu al-Hijjah on Friday, 2nd Rabi-ul-Awwal on Dushanbe. That is why Hafiz Ibn Hajar, after a long discussion in Sharh Sahih Bukhari, has declared it correct that the date of death is the second Rabi-ul-Awwal. Hafiz Mughaltai has also preferred the second date. God knows best
Twelve Rabi-ul-Awal 5 AH does not fall on any Monday, in this respect the death of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) seems to be true on the first Monday of Rabi-ul-Awwal on Monday. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) passed away in Madinah at that time. According to this calculation, the difference between the first and second Rabi-ul-Awal will be eliminated.
And God Almighty knows what is right.
